Finding A Suitable Product In Your Niche

Step 2: Find a Product

Now that you know what your niche is and what your blog is going to be about, you need to find a relevant product which you can sell. This is facilitated by digital marketplaces which can be thought of as an intermediary.

There are online marketplaces which run affiliate programmes and they contain tonnes of digital products which you can start marketing. Here, I will take the opportunity to introduce you to one of my favourite digital product marketplace ClickBank.

Clickbank: Premium Internet Retailer

Over at ClickBank, you can find plenty of digital products which you can market and sell. They are also conveniently categorized into topics so that you can easily find products with correspond to your niche.

How ClickBank works is that once you’ve found a particular product you would like to market, click on the “Promote” button and it will help generate a link known as a HopLink. This link is how ClickBank recognizes your referral and if your referral converts to a purchase, ClickBank will pay you.

Example of a product in ClickBank in the Health & Fitness niche

Just some tips to help you find a decent product which will help you earn. Do take note of the product’s “Avg $/Sale” which is a rough indication of how much you should be able to make from a purchase. Also, do look at the “Grav” which is a small fine print right at the bottom of a product description shown above. This refers to the product’s Gravity or how well is it being converted to sales for other affiliates promoting the same product.

Just to illustrate how much you can earn by promoting a ClickBank product
Imagine a chosen ClickBank product pays you a conservative average of $30 commission per sale.

For a period of 30 days:
1 sale per day = $900
3 sales per day = $2,700
5 sales per day = $4,500
10 sales per day = $9,000

If your readership is huge, making 3 to 5 or even 10 sales a day isn’t difficult at all! ClickBank pays in two modes: check and direct crediting to your bank account. The direct crediting service works in quite a few regions so not to worry about not receiving your commission.

On another note, there are also other digital marketplaces that are popular among affiliate marketers. A couple of these are Commission Junction and Share A Sale (just to name a few). I shall not go in depth about them here but it’s also worth exploring them to find more products to market if you have the time to spare. For now, ClickBank will be sufficient.

So have you found a product to market already?
